Yeah this time too the title steals the show. This week I traveled all the way from West coast (Los Angeles) to East Coast (Pittsburgh, PA) then to Washington DC and finally I am in London Heathrow at this moment when I write this message.

Our flight last night was supposed to depart at 9:55pm but couldn’t make it so the flight was delayed and I was delighted as there was more than 10 hours of stopover for me in London. So our British Airways flight from Washington Dc left around 11:30pm. I was happy as the flight was 2 hours late. But who knew about the miracles British pilots can do on the way. Yeah it was impossible to be on time but our nice pilots made it before time. This is damn impressive.

After making 3 circles of London area, our flight landed finally in the morning around 10:30am. I was pretty wasted last night in the flight as the lady sitting next to me had no mercy on us (me and other passenger sitting next to her) . She had brought a big winter coat with two bags which she rammed and jammed under the seat in front of us and pushing her heavy weight fur coat in my leg rest area. It was pretty painful night but I tried to adjust…this is what we had learnt in school…thoda sa adjust kariyo (adjust little bit). The gentleman sitting behind me was high is his world and kept on kicking me from behind the seat to keep me awake till i turned back and showed my red eyes rolling. He understood that I was not happy with the kind of assault he was up to.

Ok, we got to London. Coming out from flight was pretty easy task. When I reached the flight connection to Terminal 4 at Heathrow, I was stopped by a BAA employee saying that I have excess baggage and was advised to check in one piece. I tried to explain them about the regulations and notices they had on the site which was misleading to public. I also did ask the desk attendant at Washington Dc if I could take it and they assured me that it wont be a trouble.

I was very hesitant to give this piece of luggage as it contained all my important documents and files. Also it was was British Airway’s fault for mis communication and I demanded to see a higher authority. Soon few BAA authorities arrived and they to tell me what the regulations were to which I completely oblige. BA attendant rang up the manager who spoke to me and kept on saying that they are right and I am wrong. The lady was very adamant and wont accept that it was their fault. Finally I gave up like any other common man but also warned that if a single document was touched or went missing, I will talk to my attorney.

Finally came out of this mess by surrendering the hand baggage to them. After reaching Terminal 4 I began my search for Wi-fi connection at Heathrow Airport. After few mins research I came across “SurfandSip” network who charged around $10 for a 24 hour unlimited internet connection.

Since then I have not wasted a single minute but went online to finish some website projects.

I am waiting for my next flight BA199 which is scheduled to depart at 21:30pm from LHR to BOM and before they announce the boarding gate number, I thought that I should blog this incident.

Yeah, If you did read all the way from begning to end then I could say that you have just wasted your few precious minutes just like me.

I get up in the morning little late (could not sleep well last night bcos of pain) and start my routine day by checking out the news and also check out the webstats of our New Vrindaban community website etc. I was shocked to see that some one had played dirty prank and mesed the site and placed information that the site has been hacked. I tried to figureout what was the matter and found that the guy had actually deleted the main index files of the website including the index files of gallery and forum etc. Also much more data was deleted but fortunately I had some backup on my local machine which I managed to put up the site running later.

Coming back to my office I had to fax some legal documents and also had to make few calls to USCIS and then got back on restoring the site. I managed to resotre partial content but the one with mysql database was completely messed up and could nto manage to do anything about it. I was doing research on the google how to restore the 4images gallery etc. but didnt find any luck. Later in the evening my host was supposed to restore the data for me to 17 Aug but they couldnt manage to do that as they only had 24hr backup and the site was already re written by this hackers. Thus I had to manually restore some data. Later after few hours I checked back the site I was shock to know that the site’s index files were again replaced with the hacked message. So frustrating !

Now coming back on the bad part of the day….I was not keeping well since 2 days as the incision area where I was operated for hernia was giving some pain. I tried to take different pain medication but later had to take shelter of OVMC hospital.

Experience at the hospital Emergency Room was very unusual, first I was taken in quickly as if i was going to die but later I was left there to actually die for almost 2 hours. Finally there was a guy who came to do IV to draw blood and to inject medicine, tried on my right palm but could not get any blood pressure and thus he insisted on doing it on arm which didnt work too. Later he looked more worried as he was goin on poking the needle all over my hand and he was not getting any proper veins to draw blood. Finally he succeeded on left hand, sucked out 3 small syringe of blood and flushed the veins by some saline water. Oh God ! I was in lot of pain by then, but they had to go through all the procedures. Later a lady came and injected 2 syringe of medicine which was supposed to drain my pain. But that didnt work and i had to literally beg and cry to them that I need some more medicine. After my request some one came and shot 2 syringe Dilaudid and I was in the heaven. I was taken for CAT scan, while entering the area the lady incharge there recognised me and said “Hey how is your stones doing?” I was shocked and asked her if she remembered me to which she replied ” Offcourse I do, how can I forget you? You came here in pain before and i was the one who had done CAT scan for you” The lady and her staff were very courteaus.

Later I came back to the sick room and was lying down watching a CNN’s LARRY KING LIVE and 360 pr Mr. Cooper story on tv. I asked the ER staff if I could use the phone to which they promptly provided me a sleek cordless phone to make a call to my friend Dayananda who was supposed to pick me back. I was trying to sleep till my reports and Dayananda arrived but was not comfortable at all. Soon Dayananda arrived and we started to chat for a while and then I saw that Mr. Doctor who was looking at my case arrived with bunch of papers in his hand. I was told that I am all fit and fine except for he could see some small hernia signs but nothing to worry and advised me to go back to the Dr. Peterson for a routine checkup. I was discharged finally around 3 am.

So we decided to leave the hospital premises in Dayananda’s car. Dayananda went to get his car and asked me to wait at the ER entrance. I was high in the sky at that time as I was shot Delaudid again so that I dont experience pain till I go to sleep. I didnt see Dayananda coming so I decided to go near his car and was surprised to know that his car was not starting. I said to my self that this friday is really a bad day and car not starting at this hour is a another major trouble to our problem. We tried to call Sham who is a mechanic and tried to take tips from him also trid to take help of the hospital security personal to start the car but nothing worked. Finally Dayananda realised that the trouble was with the starter of the car and managed to fix it. Soon before we left the place I had a serious urge to vomit and ran towards the gutter lid which was right to the car and started to vomit. After few minutes, I was completely flat on the ground, got up, washed my face and we started the journey to temple. On the way again similar urge to vomit came and I asked Dayananda to stop the car, and managed to open the door of the car and there you go….yaaaaak, started vomiting again. Later I cleaned myself and we left that place and before we stopped the car i vomited again. I went to my room and fell on my bed till I opened by eyes and realised that its 12 pm next day.

Now I realise that actually I was food poisoned today and that pain was not the main issue. Sometimes when things start going bad, everything goes bad in a line and such was this Friday for me…that why I prayed to the Lord Sri Krishna this morning and said ” Thank God, its not Friday!”

Hey friends, you must be wondering whats Shyam Pandey upto these these days and when has he been, whats keeping him too busy these days that he is not posting to his blog. I am really sorry that I am not taking out time to blog but I promise that I will.

I was out to Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA and then back to Wheeling, West Virginia. I also visited the famous Disneyland about which I will blog after the Kulimela festival gets over which is being celebrated here.

Baby’s Day Out full

Oh boy ! it was such a wonderful hike. I am from India and being a Tourism student I was always facinated with nature as I had ample opportunity to travel and see various places. But this was my first nice hike since I have been in USA.

A friend of mine, Mr. Ram Shingdia was visiting our place along with his dad Mr. Trikalajna to New Vrindaban Community. Being saturday and his long visit here we all decided to meet another friend Leeah Ramkaree to catch up with food cooked by her mother (Ria Ramkaree – a nice Trinidadian-American cook) Upon finishing the eating part I suggested that we should go for a casual walk as the weather was pleasent outside and Ria seconded me and said why not go for a walk to a waterfall behind her property.

All other guys like Nimai, Rishi, Ramdas and Leeah decided to join followed by Foxy – their pet dog. We started to walk down to the nice water fall. Later myself and Nimai got parted away form the real destination – the big waterfall and went towards small waterfall. Foxy follwed us. Rest of the crew went to look for the big waterfall.

On the way they met Vasudev – a old time resident.

We all joined later together and went to Waterfall. Later all decided to go to old Vrindavan farm which was right on top of our head from the river. We struggled and hiked long distance from river to the top road which would take us to Vrindavan. Since it had rained previous day, we had great difficulty climbing up the hill and almost slipped many times. Finally we made to the top of the hill and realised that someone among us had dropped the Gatorade drink bottle near the waterfall. Since we need the Gatorade later, myself and Nimai decided to go back to the Waterfall and Foxy followed us as she was thirsty too. Nimai gave a stunning Hollywood shot by jumping a whooping distance as he lost control while trying to get hold to a dry tree which broke and he was wounded. But his spirits never failed and he decided to go further. Seeing him in bad shaped I stopped and waited halfway. Foxy being in high stamina managed to grab the bottle and bring it back to Nimai but then took it back and started to runaway towadrds the waterfall. When Nimai tried to snatch the bottle form her mouth she was barking at him, so i told Nimai to give s sip to her and after she got a sip, she kept quite and came back to the place. Rishi asked Nimai to throw the bottle to him but unfortunately the bottle hit a tree and cap came off and all the Gatorade is gone.

Finally we hiked to Old Vrindavan followed by another visit to Bhaktipad’s old house which is more like a Royal Mansion in the middle of nowhere. The place was beautiful with flowers all around and small pond etc. His house had a small temple room which was made by using Onix stone and many other types to precious stones. There were nice work of stained glass and ceiling glass which showed artistic caliber of the people who built it 20 years ago. The wood work int he house was astonishing and look fresh as if it was done in recent years.

Above all the visit to old Vrindavan filled my heart of lots of joy and inspired me to come back and explore the surrounding in coming months.

Thats it for now, more hike news will follow if I make another trip.

in  Joomla 1.0.8 and its was easy as I had done somestudy on Joomla and finally it came to some use but at same time it was annoying at times as the codes were getting messed up while formatting the text.

I used “someone elses” template made for Star Wars theme and modified to suit the look and feel. Was trying to play with the CSS codes (Cheeru remember )Also I am trying to use more modules and components to make it more attractive.
